Blanchette Consulting is led by Principal Consultant Lynne Blanchette, a registered mental health nurse, educator and consultant with more than 30 years' experience across public health, Primary Health Networks, community-managed organisations, universities and private consultancy.
Lynne has partnered with organisations across Australia to design models of care, strengthen workforce capability and improve mental health services. Her expertise spans service and program design, clinical governance, co-design, workforce development, evaluation, implementation, and the development of innovative practice guidance and learning resources.
Awarded the prestigious Global Recovery Leadership Scholarship, Lynne studied recovery-oriented practice with the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Boston University in the United States. This experience, combined with more than three decades working across Australia's mental health system, has shaped her practical, collaborative and evidence-informed approach.
Lynne is recognised for translating complex evidence, policy and strategy into practical solutions that strengthen services, support the workforce and improve outcomes for consumers and carers.

Current Projects & Practice

With Blanchette Consulting, Lynne is currently leading a national review of the current and future needs of Australia's mental health workforce. Working with stakeholders across the country, the project will identify workforce priorities and provide evidence-based recommendations to inform future capability development and strategic planning.

As a Lead Curriculum Developer and Author for the nationally funded Mental Health Professional Online Development (MHPOD) program, Lynne develops evidence-informed digital learning for Australia's mental health workforce. She works with subject matter experts, people with lived experience and partner organisations to design engaging, practical learning that translates research and best practice into everyday clinical practice.

Lynne continues to practise as a Mental Health Nurse and Family Clinician at headspace Nowra, ensuring her consulting remains informed by contemporary clinical practice and the real-world experiences of young people, families and clinicians
Professional Experience
As Principal Consultant, Lynne brings more than 30 years’ experience across Australia’s mental health system. Her career has spanned frontline clinical practice, research, education, regional mental health planning, commissioning, workforce development, service design and redesign, and the leadership of complex mental health projects.
Having worked across multiple sectors of the service system, Lynne brings a practical understanding of the challenges faced by governments, commissioners, health services, community organisations, workforces, consumers and carers. This breadth of experience informs her focus on developing practical, evidence-informed solutions that improve services, strengthen workforce capability and contribute to better consumer outcomes.
